  Extremely poor customer service in the pharmacy department. My son was prescribed an acne medication that requires female patients to answer questions through a website in order to fill the prescription. Male patients simply need to show up with their medication ID card to fill their prescription. The pharmacy refused to fill his prescription until he completed the "female" questionnaire. The pharmacist even gave me a lecture about how I needed to make sure I did my part by having my son complete the online "female" questionnaire. It took several calls to my doctors office and the pharmacy before they finally agreed to fill the prescription. It didn't help that every time I called Walgreens I was in hold for 15 mins before I could speak to a staff member. I basically had to educate the pharmacy staff that the questionnaire is only necessary for female patients because they are not allowed to get pregnant while on this medication. How is it that a pharmacy as large and well known as Walgreens not understand how to handle a medication they've been licensed to dispense? I understand that they may not have been performing at their best because this particular location is always busy. It does not excuse their ignorance of how to manage and dispense a controlled medication. It's their responsibility to understand the correct laws and rules associated the medication and to train staff appropriately.
